Painted Lady Hibiscus
The Basics
The tropical hibiscus 'Painted Lady' freely produces windmill-like, rosy red-pink blossoms with a dark red center. Each petal is oval, slightly wavy edged or smooth and has a pink middle area from which pale pink veins emanate outward, and a dark red base. Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is an evergreen shrub that originates from China, and 'Painted Lady' is a hybrid derived from two cultivated varieties. This tropical hibiscus is vigorous and blooms well over an extended period of time.
