Bird of Paradise White
The Basics
This giant tropical evergreen has oversized white flowers that bloom from Winter to Spring. Upright in nature, this plant can reach up to 30 feet in height in the right climate. Though flowers are rare if kept indoors, this plant makes an excellent house plant or accent plant.
The Needs
Amount of Sunlight: Partial to full sun
Amount of Water: Water regularly, when top 3 in. of soil is dry.
Soil Conditions: Adaptable to most soils; Prefers dry, well-drained soil; Not tolerant of overly wet soil
Cold Hardiness Zone: 8-11
The Care
Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can be reduced after establishment. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.
